One of the foundational pillars of Traditional Chinese Medicine, meditation is both simplistic and extremely accessible wherever you are. Known to most of the world meditation is in a way both popular and yet most people truly do not know all the positive benefits that can come from it. The concept of "alternative medicine" has been debated for years especially with forms such as meditation but with psychology, most researchers have shown that it can be truly helpful in many ways. Meditation has been found to help you so much with as little as 27 minutes of your time.

With your everyday life, your mind's thoughts and emotions are constantly adjusting with a very fluid pace. As you know, life comes with so many ups and downs; however, using meditative skills, you can more actively deal with your emotions. Especially with so much information fed to our brains with the current digital age; our brains are in a constant state of use and are over-stimulated at times. Meditation can lead ourselves to have a better sense of unity and connection with ourselves as it helps us avoid long nights of wandering minds. Furthermore, it can allow tough emotions to pass through more gently while also being more aware, more sensitive and accepting all at the same time. This can result in many health benefits such as:
Potential Benefits :
A calmer and more relaxed mind
A clearer thought process in your head
Better ability to accept and be aware of your emotions and stressors
Reduction of heart rate, blood pressure, and metabolic rate
Improved circulation and sleep
Better self-image
Better focus
Improved immune system
When it comes down to it, meditation can also be described as psychologies' mindfulness practices. Being mindful and meditating, is all about the practice of being more aware in the present moment. With no right way and no incorrect way, meditation is all about self-compassion and finding the perfect form for you. Some people may go to religious places and close their eyes while chanting whereas some may just go on their balcony, close their eyes and breath. Everyone is different and you can meditate, breath and sit in a myriad of ways. However, the most important aspect is to focus on your breathing and all that is around you with the smells, sounds, and all your senses in the present. Some people may even find it difficult to sit so they participate in acupressure, massages or eat certain foods to relax! We hope you join us and try meditating soon!
