One of the purest meals you can have, congee is amazing for your everyday whether you are sick or healthy. One of the best meals you can have while feeling unwell is congee otherwise known as porridge. A simple dish basically crafted through rice and water; it is a dish that has been around since 1000 BCE. According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, congee is the food to go for when feeling sick due to its nature. It is extremely easy for your body to digest and assimilate while it is able to supplement blood and nourish your qi.

We love this meal due to having both Goji and Lily bulbs. Goji as we have said in the past can boost your immune system, aid with menstrual pains, and holds an abundance of vitamins, minerals and more. Lily bulbs balance your blood work, aid with dryness in your throat, aid with lack of energy and even helps with digestive issues. This meal is so nice to have when you have a cold, are feeling unwell or just want a lighter meal. It is so light and simple to make, while you can adjust the flavour by adding certain meats and other ingredients. For the sake of simplicity, we have made a very healthy and basic congee for you to try! So we hope you join us on today's San Living journey!
