  • 1/2 cup milk

  • Water

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter + 2 tablespoons unsalted butter for sauce +1/4 cup for filling

  • 1/4 cup sugar +1/2 cup brown sugar for sauce + 1/2 cup brown sugar for filling

  • salt

  • 1 egg

  • 3-4 cups all purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup cream

  • 1/2 cup corn syrup

  • 3 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Recipe

Cinnamon Bun Dough

  1. In warm water, allow your yeast to relax and dissolve until small bubbles start to arrive

  2. Microwave milk, butter, sugar/salt together for somewhere close to a minute and then whisk it til the butter is fully melted and mixed in

  3. Using a mixer or your hands, combine this milk mixture and the yeast, while also stirring in egg (make sure all of these are lukewarm)

  4. Knead or mix on a low speed, and add flour slowly until the dough ball forms which is soft but not sticky

  5. In a large glass bowl, coat your dough in oil, place it in and cover with plastic wrap to proof (let it sit for around at least an hour to 2 in a warm, draft-free place until it doubles in size)

Cinnamon Bun Sauce

  1. Before rolling your dough, make the sauce

  2. Put cream, corn syrup, butter and sugar in a pan/sauce pan then heat it at a medium heat until it starts boiling. Once boiling, reduce the heat to a low then simmer for 2-3 minutes

  3. Set it aside for later

Cinnamon Bun Cont.

  1. On a floured surface, roll your dough into a rectangle shape (how big/wide/long you roll it will affect your rolls size

  2. Layer some butter over the dough along with CINNAMON and brown sugar! Make sure you do this evenly or else your each bite will taste different.

  3. Roll it tightly at the longer side then pinch it at the ends to seal it better, then trim it off

  4. Slight it in half, and slice it once more in half so there are 4 pieces total, then cut each of those 4 into 3 sections for 12 total

  5. In a pan with the sauce, place the top of the buns onto the sauce. Then cover the pan with a wrapping then proof until the size has doubled again

  6. Preheat your oven to 350F/177C when your dough is close to being fully risen

  7. Then bake it at 350F/177C for 20 minutes to 30 minutes, basically until its a beautiful golden brown on top

  8. If you have more sauce you can allow to drizzle some over top!
