Adenophora Yuzhu Lotus Seed Lily Soup - Lily Bulb Week

What a complicated name" eh? This amazing nourishing soup known as "沙参玉竹莲子百合汤的功效" in Chinese is extremely great for your Yin and stopping irritated skin.Being a tonic soup, it is mostly drank during summer and spring with moisturizing properties. Furthermore, with all these benefits; some people even drink for enhanced beauty and health! This soup is also stereotypically used to treat chronic dry coughs and qi deficiency although it is not suitable for those with spleen issues.

We love this soup because of most of the ingredients below not only do not have medicinal flavour but actually taste quite amazing! It tastes sweet and very light and nourishes your lungs, stomach and body in general. It's ingredients may be a bit harder to find but the vast majority are dried and be kept for long times. There are two types of ginseng that could be used, both of which have their own benefits. We chose a more regular and local ginseng from North America which allows for more moisturizing of your skin. The dried flower "Adenophora" will allow you to cleanse your lungs, nourish your stomach and improve your throat if it is sore. The rest of the ingredients together will allow you to quench thirst and aid with heart issues as well in some cases. So here is our recipe for it, we hope you join us for today's San Living Adventure!
