This smoothie hits you so hard that you would think you are getting tackled by a 5 star American football player. It is abundant in greens as you look to fill up your food pyramid and food colours! With green apple, celery, cucumber, green bell pepper, and of course our star bitter gourd. These make up a troublesome bundle and are packed with health benefits. Our recipe fortunately is not as bitter as we hold back on bitter gourd but it still contains enough benefits for anyone to be worth trying.
Starting with our first star, the bitter gourd's health properties are absolutely overwhelming. It is packed with nutrients such as Vitamin C, A, Folate which basically mean you can imrpove your eyesight, maintain healthier skin, and have better bone formation too! Not only that but it regulates your blood pressure and cleanses your liver naturally unlike many other methods. Furthermore your blood cholesterol, blood sugar, weight and, even chances of cancer are even reduced according to most studies! Ladies and gentleman we got an absolute STUNNER of a star.
Then the co-stars are also very amazing with green apples being so low in fat. The green apples also double up with more vitamin A and C, while fighting against aging, and also aiding your bones! Celery gives it another dimension with anti-inflammatories, anti-oxidants, digestion aid, and being overall solid with an abundance of vitamins and minerals. Cucumbers are such a great role player being high in nutrients, great for hydration, low in calories, an anti-oxidant and potentially helping with weight-loss, lower blood sugar, and giving regularity to your diet. Rounding it all off is a green bell pepper which has carotenoids which help with eyesight, vitamin C as if you did not have enough, vitamins and anti-oxidants and reduced risk of certain diseases. All-together this truly is a dream team worth trying out in a smoothie!
