Walnuts are such an amazing ingredient that is often overlooked in terms of food. They are backed up not just by the Eastern world but also the Western as well. Also known as "Hu Tao" originates from the Middle East/ Persia having its english name "walnut" actually translate as "foreign nut". The Walnut nowadays can be found anywhere with distinct flavour styles from each continent; especially Persia with its high-quality wood and richer flavour in comparison.

The walnut is very interesting in many ways not just for their nut aspect but also their tree. The walnut tree is one of the most sought after trees for furniture and can also be found throughout the world. The tree leafs even have health benefits with their leafs being linked to improved kidney function level and blood pressure among others. The walnut tree is particularly useful for floors, musical instruments, furniture and even gun stocks. Not to mention the shell of walnuts are actually also used for paper, glue and many elastics!
The walnut can be found in many types of traditional medicine especially in Folk medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine. In folk medicine they are known for being in the ever so famous Bach flower remedies which balance your emotional state. They even say that sleeping under a Walnut tree allows for better dreams and health.
