Go(ji) Hiking - Goji Week

One of the most amazing things that you could do in your week is a hike whether it is a short 5 minute walk to a peak after driving up a mountain or an overnight, full day journey. Hikes are such a great source of exercise, fresh air and fulfillment whenever you complete one. We love how you can get so many positives with one of the most basic activities that the world has given us. With hiking you get so many benefits such as staying fit and losing weight with your exercise; furthermore, consistent hikers have been found to have slower aging, tension and heart issues. Who can forget about the end of the hike which may contain an amazing view, with the calm and serene-state of hikes or even if you are having a gab with your buddies, it is sure to reduce your stress just from walking.

Hiking is also so great as it is cheap! Even if you are to pay entrance to a national park, there are so many hikes to take place in. The natural style of hikes is amazing due to it being purely organic with the beautiful outdoors. Regardless of where you are from, it is always great to go back into nature and take in the beauty that is all-natural, and escape electronics. It is so simple to do too with many hikes being a very simple extension of walking. However, furthermore it can improve most of your bodies regular functions as well with you navigating around trees and different terrains.


We especially love hiking due to its ability to keep ourselves and our minds positive. Hiking has been shown to have the ability to let us live more clearly in the moment. With our minds and bodies away from electronics even for a bit; studies have shown that our memories can even increase in ability. Hiking gives us a chance to reconnect with nature which many people tend to distance as we enter a digital age. Despite all the amazing things that electronics has given us, it is still essential to enjoy the things which were given to us naturally. Whether it is hiking with friends or by yourself, the peacefulness of hikes allow us to go more in to a meditative state as well, giving us less anxiety too. Not to mention, due to the increased effort, hiking will allow us to sleep better during the night. We truly highly recommend hiking to anyone who has not and if you have please try going with trail mix! It is such an amazing snack with endless combinations and so easy to assemble.


1 cup Goji, 1 cup almonds, 1 cup of assorted seeds, half a cup of walnuts, 10 dried mangoes. Mix them all up and put in a bag for your journey! You can even interchange the berries with other types, or almonds with another nut, or whatever. The possibilities are endless! They are light to carry, and you can bring enough for all your friends as they are relatively filling as well and nutritious too! With goji berries, you get benefits such as better immune systems, stronger skin and even better eyesight. Nuts of all sorts can bring you lowered weight, better oxidizing and lower cholesterol too!
